Fate and Persona points are earned through play and can be spent to give yourself an advantage in rolls. You are also required to have spent a certain number of Fate and Persona points in order to level up.
Spending Fate Edit
Fate for Luck Edit
After you've rolled, you may spend a Fate point in order to roll an extra die for each 6 you rolled and add those successes to your total. If you roll more sixes, keep added extra dice.
Deeper Understanding Edit
Spend a Fate point to reroll any single failed die on a test related to your wise. You may use Deeper Understanding in conjunction with other Fate or Persona expenditures.
Spending Persona Edit
Persona Advantage Edit
Spend up to 3 Persona points in order to add +1D to your roll per point spent.
Tapping Your Nature Edit
You may spend a Persona point in order to Tap Your Nature on a roll.
Of Course! Edit
Spend a Persona point in order to reroll all failed dice on a test related to your wise. This may be used in conjunction with other reward expenditures. If used with Fate for Luck, then this happens first.
Earning Fate Edit
Acting on Your Belief Edit
If your character acts in accordance with his or her belief at any point during the session, you will earn 1 Fate at the end of the session.
Working Toward a Goal Edit
If you work toward your character's goal but do not accomplish it then you earn 1 Fate point at the end of the session.
Benefiting from an Instinct Edit
If you use your instinct to your benefit at any point during the session, you will earn 1 Fate point at the end of the session.
Earning Persona Edit
Playing Against a Belief Edit
If you play against your character's belief in a dramatic fashion during the session, then you earn 1 Persona point at the end of the session. You cannot earn this Persona point and the Fate point for Acting on Your Belief in the same session.
Accomplishing a Goal Edit
If you accomplish your goal, you immediately earn 1 Persona point.
At the end of the session, all players (including the GM) vote to decide who was the most valuable player during this session. The MVP is the player who made a crucial roll or decision in order to overcome the major obstacle for the session. The MVP receives 1 Persona point. There can be only one MVP per session.
At the end of the session, all players (including the GM) vote to decide who worked hardest to keep the group together and in good shape. The Teamworker receives 1 Persona point. There can be only one Teamworker per session and you cannot earn both Teamworker and MVP in the same session.
The Embodiment award goes to the player(s) who put effort into playing their character(s) in a believable and entertaining manner throughout the session. All players (including the GM) decide upon who should receive the Embodiment award. Anyone who earns the award receives 1 Persona point. There may be zero, one, or more recipients of the Embodiment award. The only restriction is that it cannot be given to everybody.
